Dr. Jacqueline Weil was born in Seoul, Korea. After relocating to the United States at a very young age she grew up in the Houston area. Graduating from Cy-Fair High School Salutatorian in 1986, she went on to pursue a Bachelor of Business Arts degree in Finance from Baylor University. After graduation she began her medical education and while attending the University of Texas at Houston Medical School discovered a passion for Family Practice. Upon acceptance at a highly competitive Family Practice Residency at South West Memorial Hospital she was recruited by a well established Family Practice Group in Sugar Land where she cared for patients and their families from 1997 until 2004. In 2004, Dr. Weil took time from pursuing her continued medical education and private practice to start a family of her own. A high risk, complicated pregnancy made her determined to find ways to provide quality medical treatment to families, making her more aware of the importance of the quality of care and compassion of a doctor when helping patients achieve good health. After the birth of her child, she returned to medicine with a stronger passion not only for family practice, but also for women and children’s health in particular. During the years of 2006-2008 Dr. Weil practiced at the Nellis Air Force base taking care of military families as well as working within a family practice in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 2007 she was also involved as the Principal Investigator for Clinical Research projects for Impact Clinical Trials, addressing problems of Diabetes, Obesity, Hypertension, and Constipation among other research projects. Her community efforts include working as an Assistant Camp Director for the Girl Scouts of America, allowing her a unique opportunity to participate in this very important organization that promotes mental, physical and emotional wellness in girls and women. After her decision to return to her family and roots here in Houston, Texas with her husband and child she accepted a position as Medical Director at Affordable Healthcare Clinic to incorporate the wellness aspect to existing chronic pain patients as well as develop an outpatient family practice clinic at affordable prices for the non-insured. She is also establishing her own health consultation and private practice, Sirena Weil, to incorporate all her experiences, observations, training, and education to provide an overall wellness experience that addresses patient’s needs with a balance of treatment that includes the mind, body, and spirit.
